BREEZER Uptown EX Review

When Joe Breeze did not make high performance mountain bike, he thought of new ways to improve what he did in his own life - replaced his car with a bike. Uptown EX can help you do the same. Like all townies Breezer, it offers a lot of utility: Fender and a chain guard to protect you from the elements, bells help keep you safe, and a shelf holds your stuff. Rustproof aluminum frame, and you get a kickstand because, like Breeze said the car did not fall off when parked.

EX came in the second frame and low step-over-step, and it is the most affordable bike in line. We were impressed with the blue and white paint scheme with the classic saddle fit, grip, and fenders.

We also liked the trip. You can dive into corners and fly down the hill - it's a townie perfect for cyclists who ride bikes performance. Even in an upright position, 26-inch wheels, and a 1.5-inch tires, the bike accelerates quickly and easily cruises at speeds up to 18 mph - if you're willing to play the highest gear on a seven-speed drivetrain. Bar backswept narrower than that found in many city bikes, letting you weave through traffic. And it was tasty, with big tires and fork that soaks up road bumps.

Uptown bike geometry helps keep the spirit, even loaded with groceries. Breezer brand manager J.T. Burke called the quick handling is characteristic properties: "Joe thinks you can ride a bike as fast or slow as you wanted," he said. "If you want a quick ride the city bike, you should be able to."

We liked the speediness bike, but maintain a straight line with a cruising speed can be difficult. EX does not have a dynamo-powered lights are found on other Uptown bike. But the frames received dynamo, so you can upgrade later.
